My definitive kit review 2024
Having honed my kit over many hikes and thru hikes in the UK and Europe, this is it! It doesn't mean that I won't continue to change a few items as new models emerge, but I'm pretty happy now with what I have for my needs.

    Thanks for that excellent kit review. Your umbrella adaptation amused me, tho I bet you didn't take it on the PW 😂😂. I did the PW in May, North to South so we possibly passed each other somewhere 😄. The main problem I had was the grip on my Scarpa boots on the wet flagstones , particularly in the Cheviots. My walk could have ended on day 1 if I'd slipped & fallen. You mentioned how good the grip was on your boots, how did they fair on the wet flags. I loved your PW videos as well 👍

      @MinackerMovies 8 месяцев назад

      Hi, thank you. It's a tough one, not a simple answer. The GR10 because it came first, but not such good weather and more mist. However, there was more wildlife and easy going access for camping etc. There are restrictions on wild camping and even swimming in some lakes and below 2000m in the Nat parks in Spain. The campsites in France are more civilized, less crowded and so is the trail for the most part. First and final sections of GR11 less interesting than GR10 IMO. Both really worth doing. Maybe a mix of the two? I believe the HRP accesses both sides in places? Enjoy.
